Momento’s menagerie of fine art accessories for the home includes handcrafted pillows, mixed media collage, sachets, fine linens and other elegant art for the home.

The Artist and President

The Momento Collection is inspired by Robin Getsug Taple, who founded Momento after 20 years in the field of design. Robin’s art and design have always been inspired by mixed media collage: combining old and new, merging image, text, layering, and fine fabrics as well as a bold use of color.

Robin is a 2004 McKnight Foundation Recipient for the Family Housing Fund’s, “Home Sweet Home Again” exhibit. The exhibit uses art and poetry to raise awareness of homelessness and the growing need for affordable housing.

Robin is Artist in Residence 2008 with Kulture Klub Collaborative.  Along with fellow artists,  Connie Cohen and Jennifer Arave, we will be working with the teens of Kulture Klub and Youth Link to create art for a 15 year exhibition to beshown at Soo Visual Arts Center in Nov of 2008.

As co-chair of the CHAI Project (Children's Healing Arts Initiative), Robin has collaborated with the National Council for Jewish Women (NCJW) St Paul Section, Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, ArtStart, and artists Ta-coumba Aiken.& Armando Gutierrez .

Momento’s fine art collection for the home features collaborations with the following artists:

Chicago photographer, Don Getsug a journeyman photographer with a career in editorial and fine art photography. His work has been showcased in TIME, National Geographic, and LIFE.

Mary Logue, who is an award-winning poet and mystery writer.

Sara Langworthy, who has worked as a theatrical costumer for 20 years and the owner of Sown in the Heartland.
